What she is saying is people lie, because the truth hurts. People lie to their parents, their friends, their teachers and the list goes on. I know I have lied; good and bad. I have lied to not get caught, but I have also lied to protect someone so they don't get hurt or their secret is not revealed. Be careful though, lying can get you in a bad position.
i know that we lie to protect people's feelings. but is it really worth it. and if they find out the truth later? would it be better to get the truth right away even though it will hurt, or find out later that you've been living this lie, thinking that everything is ok when in truth it is not?
